Over 200 young Brethren gathered in Baguio for their yearly retreat with the District Apostle. Already Saturday was filled with fun and games and in the evening, presentations of singing and dancing numbers ending with a picture presentation from the Asian Youth Day in Jakarta. The Sunday Morning service was based on Apostle Pauls admonishment REMEMBER in his 2nd epistle to Timothy (chapter 2 verse 8). Remember, the resurrection of Christ is a power still applicable for all of us today. Remember, Jesus, the seed of David was a man with human inclinations. He has overcome and His power helps us also today to deal with challenges of life. Remember, Paul spoke of my gospel. As an Apostle of Jesus he referred to what Christ taught. My gospel today is to journey that path Christ has shown. Resisting temptation, overcoming, submitting to the will of the father and eventually also being raised unto him in the first resurrection. REMEMBER is much more than just to be reminded. A young Brother from Ilocos Norte was ordained Deacon and Sr. Genesa from Manila office and our Dc. Rey received the engagement blessing.
A special thank you to the BAGUIO CITY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL for making their facilities available.
A delegation of 48 Filipino youth made it to the ASIAN YOUTH DAY hosted by NAC Indonesia. It was not at all easy to reach Jakarta. The airline out of Clarke failed to board a group of 35 young people due to immigration concerns. Thanks to the efficient handling and accommodation of CEBU PACIFIC AIRLINES the Philippine flag was carried into the opening ceremony on Saturday, April 2. “The Lord definitely intervened that we reached Jakarta in last minute” one Youth participant commented.

WE ARE ONE, in seeing and hearing. The theme of the Youth Day combined with the message from our Chief Apostle from Matthew 13:16 gave this historical Youth Day event its deeper meaning. Over 1800 Youth from twelve countries enjoyed their fellowship party at Cibubur camp in Jakarta. Singing, dancing, chatting and enjoying the fellowship, making new friends from all over Asia marked the 2 days of festivities. Thank you to the organisers at NAC Indonesia and all who supported us, participated or were connected with us in thought. May every one have his portion of the blessing. May the joy and blessing be carried into all congregations by our youth.

Over 700 young Brethren came to Amora Beach for the annual Negros Youth Day. Delegations from Bohol and Cebu joined the Negros Youth for 2 days of meetings, fellowship, sports, games and a Divine Service conducted by the District Apostle. The theme chosen by youth organisers themselves was “Let your little light shine”. The most powerful earthly light, the sun, was greeted at its rise early morning on Sunday. All gathered at the beach and the choir from Dumaguete led this morning devotional. “Jesus Christ is the light and our faith in Him makes us shine” the District Apostle elaborated in a discussion forum Saturday night. The Divine Service was based on Luke 8:16. A lamp lit, shall not be covered with a vessel or put under the bed was a message underlining the theme of the event. Faces radiating of joy were evidence that the lamp was lit and carried home by all.
The annual NACSEAsia year-end-meetings were again a success. All Apostles, Bishops, National Rectors and Administrative officers gathered at Makati church. Country specific dialogues and deliberations of spiritual topics as well planning and strategic issues were on the agenda. Chief Apostle Leber addressed the assembly from his Hamburg office by video. He emphasized on a target we shall all keep in focus in 2011. “DO GOOD TO ALL” (based on Galatians 6:10). A lively Christmas concert with the Makati choir, Youth- and children choir as well as the orchestra performing was under the theme “JOY TO THE WORLD”. Also an educational program was realised with Mr. Benjamin Los Banos (communication Manager SGS and Seminar coach of Catholic Seminarians) conducting a seminar on “INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKING”. Makati Church was full for the Divine Service on 4th Advent Sunday by the District Apostle. 45 Delegates from all South East Asian countries under the care of NACSEAsia have attended the 4 days conference.
